Scotland held to draw by England in Euro 2020 opener
Lyndon Dykes denied by goal-line clearance as Scots rue missed chances
John McGinn gives Scotland the lead but Reece James rescues a point for England
Scotland were denied a famous victory over England at Wembley as Reece James cleared Lyndon Dykes' late header off the line to earn a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2020 opener.
John McGinn had given Scotland the lead just after half-time with a superb strike, but Gareth Southgate's side levelled through James in the 57th minute.
Scotland had chances to win it, but Dykes' header was brilliantly cleared by James and Che Adams struck the post in stoppage time.
The draw leaves Scotland in second place in Group D, level on points with England and behind Croatia, who beat Czech Republic 1-0 in Glasgow earlier on Monday.
